Rustam Safaraliyev currently heads the Audit and Assurance department at Baker Tilly Azerbaijan. He joined the firm in August 2009 as an Audit Manager specializing in the oil and gas sector and was appointed Director of Audit and Assurance in October 2010. Rustam has extensive professional experience in auditing companies operating in the energy, manufacturing, services, and financial sectors.

He graduated from Azerbaijan State University of Economics as the first graduate of the Special Talents Group in Business Administration and subsequently completed a master's degree in International Economic Relations at the same university. In 2008, he obtained an auditor's license in accordance with applicable legislation.

Rustam began his professional career at Deloitte in 2005, progressing from Auditor to Senior Specialist by 2009. In August 2010, he became a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Throughout his career, Rustam has participated in various audit engagements in Azerbaijan and internationally, including projects in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Georgia.
