Cooperation memorandum signed between UNEC and Baker Tilly Azerbaijan
A new stage of cooperation between UNEC and the business sector has been established with Baker Tilly Audit Azerbaijan QSC, the Azerbaijani representative of the Baker Tilly International network and one of the country’s leading audit firms.
To mark the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation, a delegation led by Samir Valiyev, Founder and Managing Partner of Baker Tilly Audit Azerbaijan, visited UNEC.
During the meeting, Professor Adalat Muradov, Rector of UNEC, emphasized the importance of strengthening efficiency in university–business collaboration.
He spoke about UNEC’s ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing ties with the business community and highlighted innovations in the learning process designed to equip students with skills relevant to the demands of the labor market.
Expressing his satisfaction with collaborating with his alma mater, Samir Valiyev highly appreciated the reforms implemented at UNEC in recent years and the preparedness of its graduates for the professional world.
He underlined that 46% of employees at Baker Tilly are UNEC graduates, noting their knowledge, professionalism, innovative mindset, and diligence, which make working alongside them both effective and enjoyable.
Both parties expressed confidence that the partnership would yield mutually beneficial outcomes for the university and the business community.
Following the discussions, the Memorandum of Cooperation was signed.
The document envisions joint scientific and practical activities, exchange of experience, and the implementation of various projects and initiatives aimed at supporting student development.
Within the framework of the partnership, plans include organizing “Baker Tilly Week” and “CEO Talks” sessions at UNEC, establishing a “Baker Tilly Auditorium” and a student group under the Baker Tilly brand, as well as other joint initiatives.
In addition, meetings between UNEC students and UNEC alumni currently employed at Baker Tilly, as well as their participation in career fairs, are also among the main areas of cooperation.
